Transplant Day's Update

Today marks day 12 of being stuck in the hospital. Today,  I am finally able to have enough energy to sit up and stare at the computer screen.  I won't go into detail of everything because its something I personally don't want to relive.

First 6 days was just straight chemo. Every time I go out into the hall to walk I have to wear this bad boy:

This past monday I got my stem cells back. It was actually pretty amazing to watch all the tiny cells go back into my body.

Since then I have been laying low. The effect of this chemo was AWFUL. I never ever want to do this again. I still have about a week left in this place and am so looking forward to sleeping in my own bed.

On a happier note:
I have been wanting a little Shih Tzu dog for awhile now I figured, since I can't have kids for awhile, that it would be a good time to get a dog.  So my mother-in-law has been on the hunt for a breeder for the perfect dog.
Yesterday I got a call from Leslie telling me this story on how she stubbled upon this dog.  This little dog just fell in our laps and I couldn't be happier. Its something I can look forward to when I go home!

Meet Cassie
(Isn't she the cutest thing you ever did see! )
