" April shower's bring spring flowers! "
The sun has started to shine down with warmth and I have been taking full advantage of the weather. I wake up and have a good reason to take the dog out for a little walk and enjoy the sun and all the trees starting to bloom with flowers and green.
Leafy greens isn't the only thing thats growing!
About a week ago I woke up and much to my surprise I had a five o' clock shadow where my eye brows should be. I looked a bit closer and saw small nubs for my eyelashes. Although at that time I looked really funny with my eyebrows I was happy because there was hair! Being bald for 3 months now its nice to see new growth. Now a week later my eyebrows are almost fully in and my eyelashes are half way to normal length. On top of all that excitement this past monday, small very blonde hair started sprouting. Now, I am my very own CHIA PET! My head is all fuzzy and hair is sticking every which way. I would take a picture of all this awesomeness but 1. My hair is so blonde its hard to really show how much there is and 2. For some reason my confidence is a little low.
Radiation is now FINISHED as of today! I couldn't be happier! This Radiation treatment kicked me in the butt!! Thats why I haven't updated in awhile.
I caught some kind of viral bug shortly after I started treatment. I was getting fevers and chills every night. Due to my body just going through a transplant it took it a week and half to fight off what ever was going on. Then a couple days later I started to feel the effects of Radiation. Which is EXTREME fatigue. I honestly don't know how to describe the feeling. Every moment of the day I have to focus on keeping my eyes open and alert or I will fall asleep. Doesn't matter if I got 12 or 8 hours of sleep that night.
Good news is though I'm done with treatments. It feels so good!!
I can't believe all the treatments and stuff I had to do this past 5 months and I'm finally on the other side of it all! Thank goodness. I still have to be poked and bugged by doctors once a week but I will take that over chemo any day!
I hope you all enjoy your spring and take advantage of that feeling of soaking up the sun
